BTU’s MERIDIAN™ In-line Diffusion System has been specifically designed for phosphorus diffusion of silicon solar cells. Silicon wafers are coated with a phosphoric acid solution and diffused in a quartz-lined continuous furnace between 850 and 900°C.
EFD PV Cell Ribbon and Bus Bar Attachment Methodology
This process is a method and mechanical attachment of standard solder coated ribbon to silver bars during PV module assembly.
KUKA Robo Frame
In the ROBO FRAME system, the robot grips the prepared laminate on the glass side and guides it precisely into the prepared frame parts. In a sequence of four steps, the long frame parts are joined first, then the short frame parts into which the corner connectors have already been inserted automatically. Addi-tional clamps and a level support plate ensure that the forces applied to the laminate during assembly of the frame parts are kept to a minimum, thereby preventing deformation.
Solaicx continuous Czochralski (CZ) manufacturing process
Solaicx is a leading manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon ingots and wafers optimized for solar applications with a high throughput manufacturing facility operating in Portland, Oregon. The company’s unique and proprietary continuous Czochralski (CZ) manufacturing process produces low-cost, high-efficiency silicon ingots five times faster and 30% longer than competitors employing equipment adopted from the semiconductor industry.
SolarMagic Power Optimizer
SolarMagicTM power optimizers are a new technology that dramatically improves the performance of photovoltaic (PV) arrays in real-world conditions, where panel mismatch and partial shading as a result of debris or structural objects can cripple a system's power generation. In some conditions, field trials have shown that SolarMagic technology can improve array performance by nearly 40 percent. SolarMagic Optimizers are manufactured by California-based National Semiconductor.
Advent Solar Ventura Technology
Advent Solar introduces Ventura™ Technology, the solar industry’s only comprehensive cell-to-module solar architecture.
Applied Materials SunFabâ„¢
For decades, the solar industry has remained a niche solution to satisfying global electrical requirements -around 0.1% - primarily due to cost. Cost, in comparison to conventional electricity provided to the grid, has been the limiting factor for the growth of this industry. The Applied Materials SunFab™ Line offers customers a proven production solution to manufacture photovoltaic modules, profitably, at the lowest cost per watt thereby providing electricity at prices comparable to traditional sources of energy. By manufacturing on substrate sizes up to 5.7m2 , the SunFab Line offers an innovative way to lower production costs and installation costs.
DEK PVP1200
The DEK PVP1200 is an innovative modular screen printing platform designed to deliver high yields in the metallization process relating to the manufacture of Crystalline Silicon solar cells, while operating at the high throughput rates required by the solar cell processing sector.
ICOS Vision Systems PVI-6
The PVI-6™, designed for optical in-line dual sided inspection of photovoltaic (PV) wafers and cells. The PVI-6 provides customers with the capability to inspect solar wafers and cells at the highest speed and accuracy for all stages of the production process.
Powerline SL PV laser system
Powerline SL PV is a laser system, especially designed for highest quality laser scribing processes in the thin-film module manufacturing industry.
